BB Gives Them A Go, Media Calls Them Freaks

Big Brother has mixed things up a bit this year and chosen a more diverse range of housemates from all walks of life. Rather than 16 attractive 18-25 year old Aussie kids, BB has picked a grandmother, an Aborigine, a midget, a male with a feminine voice, a UFO believer, a big-boobed intelligent woman, a Japanese immigrant, a ditzy blonde, a vet, a tradesman, a tomboy, a law student, a skimpy waitress, and a cult escapee. They are the people you walk past in the street. Yet because they are not from BB's usual cookie cutter, the media came out on Tuesday calling it a freak show. Isn't BB just giving these people an equal opportunity to be on the show, and for their groups to become more accepted in society? It's the media now saying we should look at them and treat them differently.
